Privacy Policy

Who we are

Avenue 6 Apartments (the “Owner”) respects each individual user’s right to privacy.  Our website address is: https://avenue6apartments.com/

ATTENTION KIDS: No information should be submitted to the Owner by anyone under 18 years of age without their parent’s or guardian’s consent. The Owner does not monitor the age of its user audience.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, owner may collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

Non-personal information and data may be automatically collected through the standard operation of the Owner’s Internet servers (i.e. log file information like IP address) or through the use of “cookies.”

Cookies are small text files that the website may place on your computer’s hard drive to recognize repeat users and facilitate the user’s use of the site. Also, cookies allow a site to track usage behavior and compile aggregate data for content improvement, targeted advertising, and marketing and promotional purposes.

Most browsers allow a user to deny cookies; however, users should note that cookies may be required to provide certain website features.  Owner may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website by identifying which pages of our site are most heavily used, and which portion of our audience comes from within the Owner’s network.  You are always in control of what cookies, if any, you accept via settings within your browser. Your browser can also alert you whenever a web server offers you a cookie.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in any area of our website.  The Owner uses reasonable precautions to keep the personal information disclosed to it secure; however, the Owner is not responsible for any breach of security. If a user knowingly provides personal information, such as a name or email address, in a comment, forum, or other publicly accessible areas of the website, that user should be aware that the information provided can be collected and used by third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of the Owner.

The Owner reserves the right to change this policy at any time by posting notice of the existence of a new privacy statement. Owner reserves the right to use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any legal duties or rights in or on behalf of any party.
